David is excited and humbled to see all the Lord has done at St. Andrew's in the church's first couple of years. The purchase of property in 2005 was a gift from God, and David sees St. Andrew's moving forward with a passionate and faithful commitment to God's word.
A Georgia native, David earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and an M.B.A. from Columbus State University. While working on his M.B.A, David met and married Claire, a reporter for the local newspaper.
Comfortably settled in Georgia and working in public relations, David began to sense that the Lord was calling him to seminary. By then he was the father of two small children and had no idea how he would support a family while attending seminary. God led the way and provided a job as communications director for St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, just a few miles from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry near Pittsburgh. Upon graduation from seminary, St. Stephen's hired David as one of three priests for the 1500-member church. Evangelism quickly became his special area of interest.
In his last months at St. Stephen's, David began to think the Lord was calling him to start a new church somewhere else. Today, as the rector of St. Andrew's, David enjoys many dynamic new ministry opportunities and most especially the opportunity to exercise his gift of evangelism. He is passionate about St. Andrew's vision to plant other Anglican churches in our area to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. David believes God is leading St. Andrew's to rebuild biblical Anglicanism in central Kentucky.
David and Claire are the parents of three teenagers: Jack, Kate, and Jane. David loves playing golf, running, and relaxing with his family.
