Mission

In Acts 1:8, Jesus promises to fill his followers with the Holy Spirit, in order that they would be his witnesses “in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” We look to that verse as a model of our approach to mission: we engage with and support Christian mission work that is local (Jerusalem), regional (Judea and Samaria), and international (ends of the earth). Our Mission Committee oversees many of these efforts and keeps our church engaged with them.

Locally, much of our core mission work is through our tutoring programs for children and youth. We are also engaged with serving our local food pantry and supporting our local crisis pregnancy center.

Our international mission efforts are primarily focused around financial, prayer, and relational support for several missionaries in various parts of the world. Currently we support missionaries in Tanzania, Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, and elsewhere. We also have a strong partnership with the Bunyoro-Kitara Anglican Diocese in Hoima, Uganda, where we support education for girls at the Canon Njangali Girls’ High School and the broader work of the church in that region.
