Mission and Vision Statement

To Glorify Jesus Christ as a Community of Disciples on Mission

This is our purpose, and all that we are about: to seek and proclaim the glory of our Lord Jesus, and to exalt Him as King of kings and Lord of lords, sovereign over all creation, including our lives. We are here to worship Him, receive Him, love Him, grow in Him, and share Him with the world. We gather weekly to share corporately in what we do throughout the week with all our lives: to worship and glorify King Jesus. The life of our church, our mission, and all that we do is about Him and His glory.

Our Core Values

These are the characteristics and aspirations that give particular shape to our mission and vision.

The Gospel

We stand on the Truth of the Gospel as it shapes us, and we are committed to the authoritative Word of God by which it has been communicated to us. “We are not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16). The astonishingly Good News of Jesus is that by His blood alone we are justified and reconciled to God, and we joyfully receive that, and we live and operate by that grace.

Commitment

We are committed to Jesus Christ, we are committed to one another, and we are committed to the ministry of the church. We value commitment because the New Testament tells us that we belong to Jesus, we belong to one another, and we are all called into ministry. In a commitment-phobic world, we hold fast to the promises we have made to bear witness to the world of the greater joy of living a life that loves God and loves our neighbor.

Renewal

We believe that the Lord is always about the business of renewal: bringing dead things to life, waking us up from sleep, and animating our life with His power. Powered by the Holy Spirit, renewal is a process of coming into the new and abundant life of Jesus Christ, experiencing the rebirth of both conversion and deepening faith. Renewal as a movement begins with personal renewal that spreads into a corporate renewal.

Joy

We believe that Gospel joy comes with perpetual surrender to the Lord and a continual wonder at the glory and grace of Jesus. There is no true and lasting joy outside of Jesus, so we desire to embody that joy as we glorify Jesus and draw ever nearer to Him, so that the world might know of a better way.

Hospitality

We are called to “Welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, to the glory of God” (Romans 15:7). This discipline of hospitality is a matter of following Jesus for the sake of both our community and our mission, for the glory of God. We strive to be generous with our relationships, our time, and making space for welcoming others into our lives.

Anglicanism

We deeply value the tradition in which we have been formed as passed down from the English Reformation, and its current global expression in the ACNA and GAFCON movements. Anglicanism is a time-tested, biblical, reliable, and beautiful way of fulfilling our mission and vision.
