Youth

St. Andrew’s uses a team-based approach to middle and high school youth ministry that is anchored by adult lay volunteers. The youth meet from 6-8 p.m. every Sunday for dinner, Bible study, worship, and fellowship.

A typical youth meeting begins with dinner provided by parents or other members of the St. Andrew’s congregation. Our dinner conversation is light and fun, allowing the youth to fellowship with their peers and mentors. Then, we dive into Bible study.

Bible study is an essential element of any believer’s faith journey. We encourage our youth to know the Bible well so that they may be served by it. Working in discussion groups, we ask the youth to ponder the meaning and relevance of a specific passage or verse before bringing their findings before the rest of the students. We desire to help our youth take hold of their faith as their own as they grow into healthy Christian adults.

St. Andrew’s also offers confirmation. In preparing for confirmation, each student is paired with an adult mentor who walks with him or her through a journey of discipleship and Bible study.
