In this sermon from the 22nd Sunday after Pentecost (year A), Rev. Ben unpacks this dialectical teaching from Jesus, responding to two seemingly distinct questions. But, in fact, Jesus is not changing the subject, but holding out the solution to the fundamental problem that the Law of the greatest commandment holds out to us. In this sermon from the 17th Sunday after Pentecost (year A), Rev. Ben preaches on this difficult parable of Jesus of the workers in the vineyard, and how it tends to put a mirror up to our own hearts. In this sermon on the Fifth Sunday in Lent, 2026, Rev. Ben preaches on the raising of Lazarus in John 11, and how Jesus shows us that these works done for His glory are also for our good. He shows us this in how he waits, weeps, and wins in our lives. John 11:1-44

We continue this week in our study through Colossians, focusing on Paul’s warning about false gospels and teaching the true Gospel. There are many ideologies and false teachings in the world around us, and we need to know how to discern them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Colossians 2:6-23
Continuing in our sermon series working through Colossians, in this sermon Rev. Ben preaches on this text where Paul outlines his ministry goal and the strategies to achieve it. As we strive to grow to maturity in Christ, we use these same strategies in our lives: knowing the Word of God, knowing Christ in us, receiving teaching and warning, and being encouraged…
